This is a free service that is available to people who live in Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake, Ohio. Any adult who is disabled, or is without means of transportation to the library, may apply by calling the Adult Services Department for the homebound coordinator at 330-928-2117 to inquire about eligibility.
Library materials are delivered to your home once a month by a volunteer. Materials may include regular print books, large print books, paperback books, books on CD, and music CD’s. Magazines, DVDs, Blu-rays or videos are not included in this service.
Individuals who do not have a library card may apply for a card without charge. Because of the nature of this program each card will be kept on file at the library during participation in this program. No materials may be checked out by others on the card between home visits. Individuals are responsible for any damage or loss of library items. Materials may be renewed one time by calling the Circulation Department before the items are due.
Personal calls will be made periodically to each person in the homebound program to evaluate likes, dislikes or problems that appear. If there are immediate problems you are encouraged to contact the homebound coordinator.
We are very pleased to offer this program to our community residents and are most grateful that we have so many dedicated and caring volunteers to help us with delivery.
