Registration is required for story times on a first-come, first-served basis by phone or walk in. All story time programs are free.

Kids in grades K-2 will enjoy stories, games and crafts on Wednesdays at 4 p.m.

Studies show that reading to a dog can be very effective and beneficial to children who are becoming independent readers, especially 'reluctant readers'. On five consecutive Saturdays in the nooks and crannies of the Children's Room, kids in grades K-5 are invited to read to certified therapy dogs between 11:00 and 12:00. First come, first served, children will read to a dog for approximately 15 minutes.

Pick up entry forms in the Children's Room beginning March 1. Sponsored, judged and cash prizes awarded by The Poet's Nook. Prizes will be awarded in April for age groups 6-8, 9-11, and 12-14 for National Poetry Month. Submissions due by March 31.
