Issue 16 Passes

The voters of Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake have passed Issue 16, with 3,290 votes (52.92%) in favor and 2,927 votes (47.08%) against.

We would like to thank the people of Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake for your support in passing the library levy. The library has served the community since 1912 and we look forward to offering quality service for many years to come. Thank you for supporting your library!

Library Spending to be Further Reduced in 2011

Our board of trustees has approved a budget for 2011, with a reduction in planned spending for the second straight year. The budget will remain tentative into the summer, when the state will pass its new biennial budget. You can read more about the budget in the Falls News-Press or on our funding and budget page, where you can find out more about our funding and view the budget.

Want to vote early? You can vote now at the Board of Elections office, 470 Grant St. (Akron), 8 - 4:30, Monday - Friday. Or, to get an absentee ballot, just go to the Board of Elections web site for instructions and a form, or pick up a form at the library.
