Grades K - 5. Studies show that reading to a dog can be very effective and beneficial to children who are becoming independent readers. On the five Saturdays in March, children are invited to read to our amazing troupe of certified therapy dogs. Attend one or more sessions. First come, first served. Please plan to join us for this very special program, which is celebrating its tenth year at the Library.
We now have a catalog of ebooks and downloadable audiobooks just for kids. The Ohio Digital Library for Kids gives you just the kids' titles from the Ohio Digital Library, and you can filter by interest level (K-3, 4-8, etc.), ATOS level, Lexile measure, or reading level.
Learn how to find information on companies and people using ReferenceUSA by attending a one-hour webcast. You can view it any Friday at noon through the end of March. Beginners will learn the basics of using ReferenceUSA, and experienced users can pick up some new tips. Learn the latest craze! This peer led group will help kids, ages 5+, make a variety of friendship mementos on the rubber band loom. Bring your loom & rubber bands & get ready to create. If you don't own one, we will have a few looms available for participants to use. Registration is not required.
