Issue 16 Passes

The voters of Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake have passed Issue 16, with 3,290 votes (52.92%) in favor and 2,927 votes (47.08%) against.

We would like to thank the people of Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake for your support in passing the library levy. The library has served the community since 1912 and we look forward to offering quality service for many years to come. Thank you for supporting your library!

Want to vote early? You can vote now at the Board of Elections office, 470 Grant St. (Akron), 8 - 4:30, Monday - Friday. Or, to get an absentee ballot, just go to the Board of Elections web site for instructions and a form, or pick up a form at the library.

Spring Book Sale

Come and browse though our large selection of gently used books, paperbacks, children's books, records, movies CDs and puzzles. Thursday, May 5: Preview for Friends members only, 5:30 - 8:00. General public: Friday, May 6, 10 - 6; Saturday, May 7, 10 - 4.

It now features an improved look and feel for a more intuitive user experience, location filters allow searching across adjacent counties, map filters, name filters with Soundex, type ahead features, and improved country and state pages. Ancestry is available in the library only.
